Solar prints are created by coating fabric or paper with light-sensitive medium, and then exposing it in sunlight to create images. Cyanotype, first developed in 1842, is one of the many chemical processes that I use to print images.
While a typical digital camera is only able to capture light in the visible light spectrum, a full spectrum camera is capable of photographing in infrared and ultraviolet light. These wavelengths of light are found in sunlight. Special filters isolate specific wavelengths, creating colorful and vibrant images.
